In Memory of Clint Humphreys (1941-2010)

A client and a close friend, Clint Humphreys, passed away this past Thursday night. This was a shock to all of us and we were very saddened to hear of his passing.

Clint was the father of Randy Humphreys and the grandfather of Miranda, Miriah, and Nate Humphreys. Pictured here is Miranda with her steer that was selected as the Reserve Champion Division Heavy Weight Exotic Steer at the 2009 Fort Worth Stock Show.
Clint loved the show steer projects that his grandchildren were involved in. Clint will be dearly missed by all of us at Tusa Show Cattle and all those who knew him.

A Letter to PawPaw from Jacob:
I know now you are in a greater place than we all know. I am sure you are either coaching some players at a ball game or teaching someone how to be better at something than what they are at the present time. Maybe you are just taking a moment to look down and admire your grandkids playing sports or showing cattle.

It was an extreme pleasure in my life to have had the opportunity to have known you and to have sold you and your family cattle. I will miss those early morning breakfasts that you, Nancy and I had eating her wonderful pancakes or the phone calls about what the cattle are doing and if that Angus is ever going to hair back up. I think the most impressive thing to me that I will always remember is your deep down family values and your integrity. You were very motivated to be involved with all of your family and all of their activities. I will never forget that when you told someone that you were going to do something that you did it with no excuses and that a handshake was worth more than any contract that could be created. That principle was most defined from your era and has lost touch in the era that we now know today.

On a lighter note, there will never be a better team of two people AKA the East Texas Hair Connection as PawPaw and Fred. But PawPaw, Fred and us will have to do the best we can but it will never be as good as with you.

I will never forget one of our last conversations, and what you said to me will remain with me for the rest of my life. Thanks for all the memories PawPaw. You will be greatly missed.

Your Friend, Jacob
