Hey everyone! It’s that time of the year again – Tusa Show Cattle Camp Time! I know all of you have been asking about camps and we finally have the dates and camp information ready for you. Hopefully you can join us in June – here’s the information you’ll need and please feel free to contact us for more information! Happy Easter!
About Our Camps
Tusa Show Cattle Camp is a workshop that revolves around youth involved with beef cattle show projects. The camp provides a hands-on experience while teaching youth techniques and tips on daily care, feeding and nutrition, showmanship, hair clipping and grooming, hoof trimming, health maintenance, and ethics. Tusa Show Cattle staff, as well as guest speakers, will provide their insight on these topics.
The camp incorporates leadership training throughout each section. The program includes both formal and informal education presented in a classroom setting as well as a hands-on instruction for each participant.
This year we will be providing three day camps and one overnight camp for youth to participate in. Participants are allowed to attend only ONE camp.
Please note: the overnight camp will have a limited availability! Send in your forms early to reserve a space!
The camps will be offered to current clients of Tusa Show Cattle. Once the deadline closes, the camps will be available on a first come, first served basis to the general public. Camp registration closes on Friday, May 13, 2011. Payment must accompany the registration forms in full in order to guarantee a spot within the capacity limit. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Please note: Registration cancellations must be received by May 27, 2011. After this date, camp registration fees are non-refundable.
